Having some trouble locating (if it exists) an option to always try to have PixInsight.exe run with windows 7  priority 'Below Normal'.
This is very important when you want to chug away on 100 frames that need calibration but you also 'have a life' and want to use your pc for other things at higher priority.

Is there such a 'always run PixInsight.exe at below normal' priority option or perhaps I should make my shortcut do this with a native windows exe startup option?

So far I bring up task manager and set it manually but that is getting a bit old.

Thanks,
Mark

As followup I have found that a very effective way to not have PI steel all my other activity cpu cycles is to set max processors.  For my quad core with hyperthread I set this value to 6.
I gave up on trying to set PI to use 'Below Normal' priority which is a windows term as that yielded not much of the desired effect.   I just leave a few (hyperthread) cores open and that does it nicely.

Now I can do huge batch processing and still get along with (mundane) other tasks outside of PI.
