Version 1.8.0 RC1 uses Qt 4.8.3. Version 1.8.0 RC2 will use 4.8.4. The final 1.8.0 release will probably use Qt 4.8.4 too. Somewhere during the 1.8.x cycle I'll try to jump to Qt 5, but this is still unclear.
