PI 1_8

Hi
I'm a young user of PI.
Yesterday i have installed PI 1_8 on my Win 64 machine.
Two things are not  running correctly.

When i'm running image solver the button SEARCH is not functionally.

The Preview in any place you have a priview is much more slower than in PI 1_7.

I have deinstalled 1_8 and installed 1_7 again.
Everything is running well.

I've seen this same problem on my system running windows 7 64-bit.  I also have a problem generating star masks (the top 5th of the mask looks correct and the remaining 4/5ths looks, well, wrong).  I've included the data I was attempting this with as well as the resulting star mask and the settings I used in a 7zip file which can be found here:

I wasn't sure if the protocol was for a separate bug report for each individual issue, so I figured I'd post it with Wallner's issue, which I also see, first and then make a separate post if necessary.

I also moved back to 1.7.
