VaryParam script
« on: 2012 November 22 17:16:46 »
I must be missing an obvious clue... how does one use the VaryParams script?
I have an image opened I'd like to run decon on but varying the length parameter.
When I launch VaryParams, no processes are shown in the "Process to Execute".

How does one "register" processes to be shown in VaryParams?

Thanks

you must have a process icon on the desktop so VaryParam can use it

Indeed, within my PixInsight desktop, my image is opened and the Deconvolution process is present (opened, that is.)
Yet, I am still unable to select it within the VaryParam script - which tells me that by "you must have a process icon on the desktop" must mean something else.
Feeling stupid at the moment...

i think this means you need to drag the triangle for the decon process to the workspace, thus creating a process icon.

Never mind... I found the answer surfing and I see pfile answered as well. Thanks!
I do have to say that I do not remember having to do this before... to modify my images.
Time to relearn the user interface!

Thanks!

Yes that's what I meant.

Sorry Philip,
I did not have Notify enabled on this topic and missed the request. This is corrected.

I admit that the UI is maybe surprising and maybe I need to find a better help text. Any proposal or enhancement to the current help text is welcome.
Any proposal to enhance the GUI also - although this may be added only as time permit.
