New to PixInight!
« on: 2012 November 05 03:52:54 »
Hey guys. New to Pixinsight, and my first post. I downloaded a trial version of Pixinsight to use for my images. I only used to use PS CS5 to process my previous images. I only have a very basic knowledge in PS, so Pixinsight was like  :surprised:! I dropboxed a stacked image from my OSC CCD to another forum user, who made an awesome looking image compared to my photoshoped one, with some step by step instructions. I'm trying to recreate it using his steps, but I'm stuck. I have run DBE, basic levles and curves, HDR Multiscale Transform, and now I want to create a lightness mask, to run the Local Histogram Equilization. I watched a tutorial video on this, looks really simple.....but, when I drag the mask over to my working image, it turns red! Any thoughts?

Thanks
Erik

Hi,

It turns red because it's a visualization of the mask over the target image. Press Ctrl+K to turn off the mask visualization.

Good luck!
Vicent.
