Hello

,
I have bought PI half a year ago and I got on rather well, until I started to process NGC7023.
After stacking (DSS) I load it in PI and checking the result with STF, I was most irritated

. I saw something similar to waterwaves or circles around the center
of the image spreading outwards. You know, like when you throw a pebble into water and watch the waves that makes. This is what I see...
I have tried DBE several times, Background newtralzation, Color calibration, noise reduction techniques - nothing helps. Only in the histogram I am
able to control these waves a little, but as soon as I increase luminance or color, these "waves" are back again.
I am at the end of my wits....

What can that be and how can I handle this? Oh, yes, I remember that I took the picture at nearly full moon - can that light pollution be
the reason for this? Can I save the picture or is there no help at all? I took the picture with my skywatcher 135 PDS, 600mm and NIKON D7000, ISO800, exposure time 1 hour.
I took another picture that same night of the blinking nebula and this image was ok....

Thanks for your advice / help,
Angelika
