How to save picture as JPG after STF?
« on: 2012 June 05 01:14:39 »
Warning - Newbie here !!!
I went through stacking and some other processes and in the end applied changes to the picture using the STF.
How can I produce a JPG file that includes corrections done within STF?

Hi Newbie  ;)

STF only changes the view on the screen, not the data itself. Use HistogramTransform to do it. If you want to transfer the settings from STF to HistogramTransform, drag the blue triangle from STF to the bottom of the HistogramTransform image.

Make sure you study Harry's videos, see http://pixinsight.com/videos/index.html and http://www.harrysastroshed.com/pixinsighthome.html that demonstrate such basics.

Or you can do a screen capture of the window where you applied the STF and save that (if you do not want the STF stretching to be applied to the data.)

Thanks for your replies.

Yes, the HistogramTransform works  :D
Once the changes are applied and the image is saved (save-as-jpg) it contains all what I wanted ......

Doing a screen capture is also an option, although it produces images in low resolution .....
