Segment Violation Crash

Version 01.07.06.0793 Starbuck (eng x86_64).
Mac OS X 10.7.4, 4 GB RAM, 2.66 GHz Intel Core Duo Imac

Path to bug:

Start PI, do File/Open Recent/Image Files.  Select file to open from list.  PI Crashes with segment violation.  Almost but not quite always.

Work around:  do File/Open/  navigate to file and select to open.  Works.

Hi Dan,

This is another manifestation of a known bug in the Mac OS X version of PixInsight:

This will be fixed in the incoming version 1.8. For now, please open images with the File > Open main menu option, by double-clicking on PI's workspace, or by dragging files to PI's workspace.
