SBIG ST-4000XCM DeBayering
« on: 2011 October 16 13:15:30 »
It doesn't appear the deBayer routine is working.  I run the script with it set to Bilinear and RGGB and  then click execute.  It executes, but when I look at an individual image, I still see the Bayer matrix "cross-hatching".

Thoughts?

Sounds like your RGGB setting is not the one you should use.

Can someone please tell me the proper parameters for debayering an SBIG 4000XCM light image that has already been calibrated.

dont know but you can easily try them all for yourself. gets easier if you take a daytime photo with the camera.

There are only 4 choices so a little experimentation does not take a lot of time. The following shows an easy method if you don't know how to proceed.

Sander,
I followed your suggestion and found out that what works for an SBIG ST-4000XCM is GRBG. I just happen to have started running software on a new computer and your process led me to look at the Maxim DL debayer settings that were not set to SBIG ... so you solved two problems. I'll have to go through a few images to see what difference there will be in the color rendering.
