M33 first processing with pixinsight
« on: 2011 November 12 15:00:06 »
Hi
My first image processing with PixInsight.
20x600 sec with my OCD Qhy12  and a Epsilon180 f2, 8.
I'm quiet happy with the result and the workflow with pixinsigth is for me much less complicated than my first steps with photoshop  :P

M33

what do you think

Hi Edmund, welcome to the forum.

Nice M33. You could try HDRMultiscaleTransform ??for more details in the core.

Saludos, Alejandro.

Edmund,

Nice result! I agree with Alejandro, you really should try HDRMT to create more depth in the galaxies core! The result will be great because visibly there is really rich data behind!

Nice

So I did, but I'm still not satisfied.
Imho the Triangulum GX is quiet difficult to process.

Hi
My last attempt with M33  ;)

I streched the histogram manuel and not with the STS Auto stretch.
With this GX,  I had bad results doing the STS auto ??

Edmund,

Your last attempt is a real succes, the details of the arms and the galaxy it self are really fine!
Perhaps it is right that the manual stretching works better on this image than the autostretch..

For my side I also try to always stretch manually because IMO it get the best results doing it this way.

Again, your image is really nice now!
Clear Skies!!
