Today we learned our 3 submissions to this international exhibition were accepted.  For more info see:

"Dear Jack:
Congratulations!  Your works, produced in partnership with Steve Mazlin, Thor’s Helmet in Canis Major (aka NGC 2359), NGC 4945 in Centaurus, and The Antennae Galaxies in Corvus (aka NGC 4038 & 4039) have been selected for inclusion in the exhibition Starstruck: The Fine Art of Astrophotography, which will represent artists from several countries on five continents.  Coincidentally, the occasion of jurying the exhibition was beautifully commemorated by a fine display of the aurora borealis—an auspicious beginning to what is certain to be an amazing exhibition."

Thanks guys.  How are things at AIC and how did your workshop go.  Bet your attendance was better than the 15 or so I had a few years back<G>.

Oh, he beat the heck out of you in terms of audience, Jack  :)

Steve's presentation went very well. I only saw the second one, which I believe was more lightly attended than the first, yet he had an almost full room (BTW, none of the workshops got a full room, the rooms are bigger at the new venue ;) ). Of course, I'm picky, and if I were to highlight what could be improved, that would be to make the workshops/presentations a bit more lively, get the audience intrigued, or try to sound excited about what you're doing. It makes people feel using the software is fun (and it is fun, so that shouldn't be too hard).. Out of all the workshops I checked, only Adam Block seemed to do that somewhat well, and he was talking about one of the most boring-to-use software apps on Earth (I won't mention which one, but it isn't Photoshop).
