Tulip & Crescent
« on: 2011 October 12 08:08:51 »
I post some recent images here in case there are some good words of advice on either.

Tulip Nebula SH2-101   7 hrs LRGB:

http://www.astrophotogallery.org/member-galleries/p8218-sh2-101-tulip-nebula.html

Crescent Nebula NGC6888   6.5hrs HaLRGB:

http://www.astrophotogallery.org/member-galleries/p8173-ngc6888-crescent-nebula-halrgb.html

Both gave me trouble on the processing but particularly the Tulip which was a much tougher target than I anticipated (although saved it for CalStar 2011 dark skies).

Thanks for looking.

Hi Jeff,

The pictures are nice, altough it seems to me that they are a bit dark and that there is some rest noise present especially the first image!

I think you can tune the image further because there is good data behind!

Nice work tough!!!

Cheers

Lex
Clear Skies!!

Lex-
I brightened up the backgrounds on both of these so they wouldn't be so dark.  Same URL's:

Crescent Nebula NGC6888   6.5hrs HaLRGB:

Thanks,
