QHY8 column defect
« on: 2011 February 19 09:33:25 »
Hello,

I am a new user of PI, just installed it last week.
I have a QHY8 that suffer from the renowned column defect.

Is there a way with PI to deal with this situation.
Bias and dark frame have not been a distressful approach.

Thanks

Renaud

Hi Renaud,

Welcome. You may want to try the script FixColumnsAndRows in the menu Scripts > Utilities.

Greetings,

Enzo.

I wrote a utility for that a few years ago. Haven't bothered to port it to PCL yet as that's a lot of work for such a small piece of code.

Humm...maybe it is not standard, I don't remember. Anyway, you get it here:

Copy, paste and save with the 'Script editor'. F9 to execute.

Enzo.
