PixInsight mirrors FITS files from DeepSkySTacker
« on: 2010 November 27 11:28:20 »
Hi,

I'm using DeepSkyStacker to calibrate and combine my exposures and I save the final image as a FITS file.  However,  when PixInsight opens the file it treats it as mirrored about the X-axis.

This appears to be a PixInsight FITS issue - the same file opened with AIP4WIN is oriented correctly.  A TIFF file of the same image written by DeepSkyStacker is displayed correctly by PixInsight.

Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks,
-

Under the Format Explorer tab on the left, double-click on FITS. A dialog box opens.
Look for Misc. options and change to Upper Left Corner. That ought to do the trick.
