M31 - HDR Wavelets
« on: 2010 November 12 03:14:24 »
Morning all

We've been blessed with some clear skies recently and following some adjustments to my focusser I grabbed some subs on M31

I've been expirementing with HDR Wavelets to try and get more detail in the central core.

My problem is that I always get a bright ring - see crop below

Should I

a) get some more subs of shorter exposure and use HDRComposition
b) use some other technique
c) use different settings in HDRWavelets, the most successful were two iterations of 6 layers with Invert unchecked (maybe someone could explain how this works?)

Thanks in advance

Clear skies

How about applying a luminance mask to the core and then using HDRWavelets?
