Change zoom factor of real time preview

can someone kindly indicate a thread where this topic has been covered or explain how to do that?

You can't. You can resize the RTP window but that's it. I think that area needs some work and I posted about that in the wish list forum I'm pretty sure.

Another workaround is to create a new preview, showing just the sector of interest, and use the RTP window on it.
