xmpx save dialog should use same path as image dialog
« on: 2010 August 31 21:16:42 »

Hi,

this had bugged me for a long time so it's time to finally post a message :) It would be great if the xpmx dialog would start where the file save dialog points. Surely everyone who bothers saving xpmx files wants to save those with the image they applied to? And even if not then I'd say it's good starting point.
Best,

The idea (correct me if I'm wrong) is that the Save Process Icons dialog should use the last directory used by the Save Image File As dialog. In the same way, Load Process Icons should use the last location of Open Image Files. Is this what you want?

Note however that once an icons file has been saved, the Save Process Icons dialog will remember the location of the current PSM/XPSM file.

I see no problem to implement this behavior by default. Should this be selectable through a dedicated preferences item?

On a side note, I think this thread would better be moved to the whish list board. Do you agree?

Yes, that's what I want Juan, thanks. I suppose yet another preference could be added but there are so many already. I suggest leaving this sit for a little while (in this or the 'wish list' forum) and see if people object. I think the current behavior is 'wrong' so I consider it a bug but moving it to the wish list forum is fine if you prefer that. My goal has already been achieved :)
