Sometimes PI picks the wrong image when clicking on a tab

This is weird but I've seen it several times tonight.

- several images loaded, at least two are maximized
- foreground image is maximized
- click on a preview tab and an underlying image pops to the front (seen twice)
- start DBE, click in an image and 'poof' it activates an image lower in the stack.

I know Juan will say "that's strange, that should not happen, I don't see that here on Linux/MacOS/FreeBSD"

That's strange, that should not happen. I don't see that here on Linux/FreeBSD (still haven't tried on Mac OS X and Windows)

Jokes apart, that certainly shouldn't happen on Windows. I've made big efforts to make the workspace rock-solid stable on all platforms. It is quasi solid on X11 and somewhat less solid on Mac OS X. It seems there are still a few problems on Windows that I'll try to address ASAP. Thanks for pointing this out.

I am at my main Windows development machine now, and I can confirm this bug.

It happens sporadically just when you open a tool window; in no other circumstance, at least in all my tests. It never happens when you click on an image window, either on the image or on any part of the image's frame, including the title bar, the view selector tray, view selectors and other decorations (if that happened, then the bug would be really serious).

What exactly do you refer to when you say 'when clicking on a tab'?

Interestingly, this seems to be a Windows-only bug. It never happens on X11 and I can't reproduce it on Mac OS X x86.

Hi Juan,

in my case it happened when I clicked on a preview tab of the foreground maximized image window. I'm glad though that you reproduced at least one scenario where this can happen, perhaps it has the same root cause and then the issue is fixed. It only happened twice in several hours of rather intensive PI-ing.
