Combing Ha into galaxy images
« on: 2010 July 16 05:10:32 »
How do people go about getting that wonderful fluorescent red/pink glow in the gaseous regions of larger galaxies?  What sort of combination techniques are in use?

Are the stars masked from the Ha image?  ???

Would appreciate some advice or direction to tutorials.
