Fit 32 file format issue?
« on: 2010 July 16 12:15:26 »
Hi, I've aligned some 32 bit fits calibrated in maxim in PI.
the aligned file open as empty in PI (k=0).
I.ve checked back in maxim and the integration module did detected stars and aligned the stars (the images are correct).
I'cve then checked back and find out that the original 32 bit files used to align, open also as empty in PI.

Hope this helps,
Andrea

I don't think Juan can do much with this trouble report without a file to download and try for himself. Can you reproduce this with a small (cropped) file that's easy to attach here?

Hi Sander,
ca you explain how to attach a file to the post?
I thought I could send the original file to an ftp, but I was waiting for directions.
Many thanks,
Andrea

this is a crop.
this open in maxim and it doesn't in PI (it opens empty).

I've tried to write the aligned file also in 32bit float: in this case maxim is still able to open it, put the reading value is zero all over the frame.(this is outside my comprehension..)

Thanks,
Andrea

last piece: if after alignment the resulting files are converted in IEEE float in Maxim then they open correctly in PI.
