Hi All,

The next version of PixInsight requires at least SSE2 processor instruction support for all 32-bit versions. This rules out old Intel and AMD processors, such as Pentium 3 and pre-Athlon64, which have been supported unofficially in previous versions. Officially, the minimum supported processor is Intel Pentium 4 since the first release of PixInsight standard --see the system requirements page.

Note that this change applies only to Linux and Windows versions, since on Mac OS X PixInsight already uses SSE3 and SSE4 instructions.

If this is a stopping problem for some users, I can see a way to compile a special 32-bit version of PixInsight without SSE instructions.
