Message error using HDRWaveletTransform Process
« on: 2007 March 29 10:04:38 »
Hello,
I don't know if it's related with my PC or with the new HDRWaveletTransform Process, but when doing a HDRWavelet I get this message " PCL Win32 System exception, at address O5E4141D with exception code C0000005 access violation : invalid memory read operation at address 00000078 "
That happen only when the luminance mask box is checked together with Preserve hue and luminance checked. If luminance box is unchecked then everything work fine
I was using HDRWavelet standard settings with an RGB image.

Cheers

Hi Antoine,

OK, you found one ;-)

The problem is with the "Preserve Hue" checkbox checked along with "To luminance only". To work around this, please uncheck Preserve Hue when applying HDRWaveletTransform to the luminance. Note that the Preserve hue option does not make sense when processing only the luminance, anyway.

This will be fixed in the next release. Thanks for the bug hunting work!

Hi Juan,
Yes indeed Preserving hue checkbox together with luminance only doesn't make sense, but I was playing with this new tool and was just curious to look at the result of this setting.
By the way it is a very powerful processing tool, I need to fine tune some of my settings but already it deliver surprising results in processing nebula as galaxies, without the usual side effects, congratulations to the PTeam.
I also tested the New GREYCstoration Process, works very well indeed.
You added in this last release some new top processing tools, definitively superior to the competitors existing package for astronomical image processing, did you have a planned release date for your commercial version?
Cheers
