Intermittent stoppages of v1.8.8-4
« on: 2020 February 07 09:31:16 »
Hi Guys,

Since updating to version 1.8.8-4 on 18/01/2020 I've experienced a numbers, maybe four or five, instances of stoppages due memory access violations occurring. The one particular to this report happened while I was manually stepping through a list of frames within the 'blink' process. Unfortunately, I was not able to copy the full content of the process console but have at least managed to snapshot the majority of it for you. See attached photo.

Regards,
Dave

Hi Team,

I just the memory access violation error occur again, one of many crashes now, this time when single stepping through a small set of frames using Blink. Unfortunately on this occasion the application stopped for about 30-seconds and the shut down completely. This meant I was unable to grab a copy of the process log before it disappeared.

Does PI run a log file somewhere, such that any stoppage would have at least a limited amount of information stored about it. If it does where prey tell is the file located, since a rummaging around with explorer has failed to find it.

I'm running PixInsight Core 1.8.8-4 Ripley (x64) under Windows 10 Pro x64.

Thanks
Dave
