It seems that the problem is Random (I would prefer to have consistently successful processes)

I had taken another set of pictures Wednesday night of M33. There were 64 FIT files. I decided I would run the the same BLINK and SUBFRAME SELECTOR processes for these files. To my surprise, the DEBAYER was a success!
Process Console: Debayer: 64 succeeded, 0 failed

That made me happy so I decided to try again the bigger set of files (i thought I had 64 files I actually had 120). I did not restart PixInsight.

It worked.
Process Console: Debayer: 120 succeeded, 0 failed

Happy about this outcome, concerned about stability.

Juan,

Still doing this, but I have noticed a pattern. If I debayer from one external drive to another I'm almost (note the almost) guaranteed a crash. However, if I shunt the files to the second hard drive before running debayer then there is no problem. So, this probably has something to do with the USB system in Windows. Note also that the target drive also hosts my temp folder.

Cheers (and a Merry Christmas),

David

I can confirm that the crash sometimes happens on MacOS also.

This cannot be reproduced on any platform, with any of our working and testing machines and data sets.

Can you please provide a data set where this problem can be reproduced, or a pattern to reproduce it?

Unfortunately I don't think there is a pattern Juan, it just happens sometimes. On a bright note it hasn't happened recently and I've been running debayer quite a lot recently.
