Hi Juan and Group,
I have been running 1.8.8-3 since mid January and subsequently updated it to the initial version of 1.8.8-4.
And while the application under "Control Panel/Programs/Program and Features" presents the version as 1.8.8-3, the program comes up when executed as 1.8.8-4.
So far, so good.
This arrangement has worked well on my Dell desktop running Win10 Home. I've had only a single glitch that dealt with the "Blink" process icon, and that was cleared up by a reboot of the computer.
So just today I have downloaded the latest version of 1.8.8-4, which requires an uninstall of the current 1.8.8-3/4 version.
When I go to the uninstall of the existing version I get the following message:
"An error occurred while trying to uninstall PixInsight. It may have already been uninstalled.
Would you like to remove PixInsight from the Programs and Features List?"
I've stopped at this point and look to smarter folks than myself for some guidance.
Thanking you in advance,
Mark
