Colour calibration with filters
« on: 2020 January 18 06:07:01 »
Hi Im using an 8 inch celestron with hyperstar lens, zw0 1600 colour camera and light pollution filters ( as I live in a light polluted city). When I try the colour calibration the background goes crazy. I get a green background on one filter and a red one on the other. Is there a way to do the colour calibration such that Pixinsihgt knows you are using  filter and compensates. What suggestions are there for getting the right colour in these cases? or should I just miss this step when using filters?

your background tolerance level might be set wrong. you can experiment with the BackgroundNeutralization process to find the right tolerance value. when you have found a tolerance large enough the background of the image after BN (and a channel-locked STF application) should be black/grey.
