Flats missing from one session out of multiple sessions
« on: 2019 November 19 09:36:30 »
Working through my backlog of data from my mono CMOS (ZWO ASI1600MM) I have found that I don't have flats from a session where I imaged R and B data (it was last January, I either forgot or was too tired or both, important lesson learnt, hasn't happened since). The camera was removed from the OTA between sessions as imaging was done at my society observatory.

In the following session I did image a little more R and B data and did take flats this time, however the bulk of the R and B data consists of the prior session subs with no flats.

Is there a way to mitigate the lack of flats during integration? I thought to try integrating the subs with the flats, running DBE and then using that as the reference image in Local Normalisation to apply to all of the subs for that given filter. Is there a better way?

Hi,

Do a "Google" search on "Synthetic Flats PixInsight" or go http://trappedphotons.com/blog/?p=756  The trappedphotons tutorial is excellent to create the missing Flat
