Software Activation

Can anyone help,

I've been out of imaging for about 9 months now,  (Just started again)   

I have opened PI to find out that a new version 1.8.7 was available to install.  I have installed this & it's asking for    " User Identifier & activation code "  I do not have these to hand or know what they are.      I have requested for activation codes but this asks for user name and password,  I thought I knew these as I'm logged in to this but obviously not.

How can I get these

you should have an email from way back when you first purchased pixinsight with a different username and password for the software distribution server. these are different from the forum username/password.

the email should have come from sales@pixinsight.com.

Yes I found these although it was a "reset" not the original,

When these are put in I get

Authentication error. Server response: 'INVALID AUTHORIZATION CODE'

I found how to reset it.     bit long winded but got it working now.
