batchpreprocessing / imageintergration memory issues
« on: 2019 October 07 11:29:59 »
Since upgrading pixinsight i had been having ram issues. where my computer would just completley lock up while using imageintergration. i  i have found that unchecking the auto buffer size stops this from happening. But the problem still happens when using batchpreporcessing i have tried it a few times and after waiting for two hours or more when the computer freezes i have to hold the power button down to hard restart my laptop. Is there somthing i can do to aliviate this problem

Cheers

Andy

I was having a similar problem integrating a large data set in BPP and would like to report that the bug fix has corrected it!
Looking at the system information it looks like the process was limited to about 80% of the available RAM.

BPP ran flawlessly on 100 bias, 100 darks, 60 lights and 80 flats.

Juan

Thanks for the bug fix. It works as before... although this might seem a minor ask i would just like to ask that at some point can you can make the automatic buffer be unchecked rather than checked as default.. if i use the imageintergration and forget to uncheck this box the only way i can regain control of my computer is to turn it off. I dont know how many people this is effecting..

Cheers

Andy
