Saved Image Darker then when in PixInsight

Question 1: I am working on a MacBook Pro.  I find that when I finish an image and save it as a tif, bmp, or jpeg, the image is darker when I open it in other applications such as Preview or Email.  Curious to know what this means.  Thank you!

darker like a little bit darker or darker like unstretched?

if a little bit darker it could be about color management and ICC profiles/tags which is a whole ball of wax...
