Downloading Scripts on to an iMac

I have an iMac and have been following a YouTube user who has recommended the AutoColour script from Herbert Walter. I have downloaded the script and opened PixInsight, selected Script > Feature Scripts > Add then selected the folder where the script is located (in my Download directory).

Nothing happens.

I have since found another post on this forum from several years ago that suggested the dowloaded script needed to be saved in a separate folder on my hard drive which I have done but it still fails to load. I actually saved it in the SRC folder in the PixInsight application directory where all the other scripts are saved and even to my desktop but without success.

I then read that I should try Script >Execute Script File and then select the AutoColour script and this does then cause the script to open and work on the image. Hurray!

However, should I not also see the AutoColour script as well in Script > Utilities > AutoColour? At this time it is not appearing.

Does anyone have any experience of this on a iMac and can share their thoughts?

running the script won't add it to the scripts menu, so that's expected behavior.

if you moved the script to the src directory, you can try clicking Regenerate in the Add window and see if it's found.
