Unable to remove directory: Permission denied
« on: 2019 August 02 03:02:31 »
Good Morning,
I try to load 8 PixInsight updates but it gives me the following error:
Unable to remove directory: Permission denied: / Applications / PixInsight / doc / docs.

What should I do to avoid the error?

Thank you

Hi!

It looks like you are on MacOS, is that correct? If yes I think you installed PixInsight with root permissions. Can you confirm?

Just change the permissions on the directory you are having trouble with and give it another try.
I update on a Mac without any problem with the normal admin account with root permissions.

Question, have you several user accounts on the Mac or just the single admin account?

OK so try changing the permissions on the directory and see if that solves the problem
