PCC source image
« on: 2019 April 01 06:10:50 »
The PCC documenation says that it should be run on linear images but the LRGBCombination tool should be run on stretched images. How do I combine a set of linear RGB images so that the resulting linear RGB combination can be put through PCC?

Many thanks

John

Hi John,

Use the ChannelCombination process to combine your linear R, G and B frames into a single master RGB color image. Then calibrate the RGB image with PCC, stretch it to match your nonlinear master lightness frame, and use LRBCombination, being careful not to unbalance color ratios applied by PCC. This is the normal workflow to generate LRGB images in PixInsight.
