DBE Reporting Something When Nothing Is Visible
« on: 2019 February 07 14:04:38 »
See attached image.

DynamicBackgroundExtraction is acting like there's something in the lower right of the image when nothing is visible. I had to manually place the sample points in this section of the image.  There's some banding from my Canon 6D there.

Wr: 0.202
Wg: 0.000
Wb: 0.075

Is it just responding to background noise or banding?  If so, is there a way to eliminate this?

what you are looking at is a sample on a part of the image that's too bright to be picked up by DBE given the tolerance setting you have. assuming the brightness is actually LP and not any kind of DSO signal, you should probably increase the tolerance until there are fewer black pixels in the sample.

if there are too few colored pixels, DBE ignores the sample.
