Resolution of PI on large 4k monitor
« on: 2019 February 04 09:28:11 »
Hi Folks,
I'm running a new PC rig with a 4k graphics card and 40" monitor.  Can get so much done with the extra screen real estate!
However, Pixinsight does not seem to play ball with the higher resolution and still displays the window at a lower resolution.  Anyone know why this is the case please?  I played around in the UI under settings and turned off auto and set a number between 1 and 4.  But that makes the window even bigger.

Any thoughts please folks?
Many thanks in anticipation,
Steve

Hi Steve,

PixInsight should detect high-dpi display resolutions and scale its user interface automatically. What resolution are you using for your 40" monitor?

Hi Juan,
It is a 4k screen with a resolution of 3840 x 2160.
Here is a snapshot.

PI is the only app that seems to want to display in what looks like 1920 x 1080.  You see that Chrome scales properly
Kind regards, Steve
