NB Mosaic construction
« on: 2019 January 04 09:50:06 »
I am presently doing a four panel NB mosaic and I am curious how most people construct their mosaics. In the past I have done the following: Seperatly for each panel I combine the NB integrated subs (Ha-OIII-SII after being registered to each other, cropped, ABE / DBE applied and LF). Essentially making four seperate SHO images. I then take the four panels and build the mosaic using star registration and gradient merge mosaic. Would it make a difference to instead build three seperate mosaics (Ha-OIII-SII) and then combine these three mosaics into a SHO mosaic.

Is there a preferred method for building mosaics? Thanks.

I do the three channels separately using Image Solver, Mosaic By CoOrdinates and Gradient Merge Mosaic. I find doing the channels separately gives a better end result in terms of hiding the seams.

I also build a mosaic for each channel, still linear, and then combine and stretch.
