Alignment problems with Sony ARW files
« on: 2017 March 06 13:05:57 »
I have tried StarAlignment and ImageIntegration with Sony ARW files captured by a Sony RX10M3 camera. The integrated image shows double stars where singles should exist. It doesn't matter if I DeBayer the ARWs or convert them to TIFFs first, the result is the same. I even used SubFrameSelector in a couple of the trial runs. I saw a thread where problems were noted with parallel processing in those two functions. I did what was suggested and had all updates applied. Nothing changed.

First of all, what data does anyone need to look at the problem? Subexposures, Integrated image, etc?

Secondly, where do I post it? Dropbox?

I'm relatively new here so please bear with me. I did search for a similar problem here and via Google without any luck.

Hi Don
I start with Sony .arw raw files but the first thing I do is batch convert them into FITS/XISF then begin my processing.
Never had any alignment problems.
Cheers
