Here ye, Here ye! I've published a document with amendments to the book 'Inside PixInsight.' If you've bought the book, thank you! This is my continuing effort to make the book as accurate and complete as possible. Please visit this link http://www.ip4ap.com/shop_2017 and click on the yellow 'amendments' link to download the PDF. The document's direct link is http://www.ip4ap.com/documents/Inside%20PixInsight.pdf. Look for an update of less significant points next month when I return home. Thanks for your time and attention, and faith in me!
Best always, Warren

Hi PI friends, As many of you know, 'Inside PixInsight' the book is scheduled to be published on 7-13-16. While the softcover version is available for pre-order from Amazon-
http://www.amazon.com/Inside-PixInsight-Patrick-Practical-Astronomy/dp/3319256807?ie=UTF8&keywords=inside%20pixinsight&qid=1465479168&ref_=sr_1_1&s=books&sr=1-1
and Springer-
http://www.springer.com/us/book/9783319256801,
Springer also offers an electronic version. If however, you'd prefer a personally inscribed physical softcover, you can pre-order a copy directly from us-

I certainly owe Juan and Carlos a copy with thanks! Thanks very much for your interest and support!

Hi Warren,

I'm thinking of buying your book in paper form. I live in the UK so I guess an autographed copy might be prohibitively expensive and I should go through the official route. Is that Springer?
Is there any new edition coming out? I don't want to buy it and then a month or so later a new version comes out. Also will there be any sort of extra pages that address a few of the accidental errors (which is absolutely no problem as long as the reader is aware of them) that I can download and fix to the relevant pages in the book?

Many thanks and clear skies.

Hi nm303, Shipping is about $20 for me to UK- Springer ships free. Amazon Prime may be free shipping also. No new edition for at least 2.5 years, if there's a call for it. My updated amendments are available for download here http://www.ip4ap.com/inside_pixinsight/inside-pixinsight-amendments and here http://www.ip4ap.com/shop_2017. Many thanks!

I'm editing the proof of the second edition of my book, Inside Pixinsight. It's in much better shape than the proof for the first edition was. Springer did a good job this time! I'm through the front matter and up to chapter 4. Looks like we may be on target for an October 22nd publication date if this keeps up. Be patient however, because this proof was delayed coming to me by 10 days. As I've mentioned, the second edition is much deeper and covers all of the current improvements to PI. Amazon and Springer are already accepting pre-orders! Like last time however, if you want a personally inscribed copy direct from me, you'll need to wait a while. Thanks for your support!

A section on evaluating subframes with some general guidance on what makes a good one would be awesome!

The word I received is that it is delayed a little.  It is in the hands of the publisher to release.

Hi - Springer have an offer on at the moment - if you select books for more than £35, you'll get a discount of up to £30 on your books.

So, I was able to get Warren's new book (published on demand according to the website?) plus another in the Patrick Moore series for just £18.

I assume this also works in mainland Europe and possibly the US as well?
