Stacking in Different focal lengths
« on: 2018 November 16 06:42:44 »
I am searching and can't find any tutorial or instructions. I have a 714mm and a 400mm light frames and I would like to add the 714mm detail to 400mm but there is a hard line. Is there a setting or reprocessing that will help me merge and get rid of those lines? Thanks

Hi,

I'm not totally sure, but you can try checking Frame adaptation option in StarAlignment process (if you are using BatchPreprocessing script, check Calibrate only, and align with StarAlignment the calibrated frames, after that, stack with ImageIntegration)

Best regards,

Enzo.

That did not go well,, I dont have dark frames and bias.. I did however select below in ImageIntegration..

Combination: Minimum
Normalization: Multiplicative With Scaling

and I get this:

Try using drizzle integration after the normal integration. If you don't want it larger just set it to 1x. Drizzle integrations tend to blend in the edges a lot better.

It is easy  - You must use another program . No PIXI . With Pixi  is it possible, but very difficult

If You want know more - try  The "Astro Imaging Channel" - I think 2-3 month ago - (presentation   )

Kolec, very considerate and polite. I hope you are not like that in your daily life, but only to despise a man who works hard trying to do his job as best as he can every day. Don't worry nothing happens. I'm quite used to this.

The original problem here seems to be lack of proper calibration. With accurately calibrated data, frame adaptation in StarAlignment should fix these differences. That said, it is clear that some of our tools should be improved to make this type of image combinations easier. I'll try to work more and better on this.
