I have done a PI reset

Hi Don

Could you try this exactly if possible. Open Pixinsight from a reboot of the computer. Take a stacked(integrated) but unprocessed image, apply STF so you can see the image and then open DynamicPSF. I did this on 2 computers, one Windows 7 and the other Windows 10 and had no issue. Really want to try to help. I've just never heard of this happening in this manner when no other process is open.

I guessing that you dropped an instance directly on the image.  I tried this and received the same message you received.

To create the PSF, select all your stars by highlighting them in the list and then click on the camera icon on the right-hand side of the DynamicPSF Process Tool.

Thanks for the response. I hope this is the problem Don is having. I had never dropped an instance from DynamicPSF on an image before. The act of selecting stars must be a dynamic process in itself and left open so the user can selects stars as needed. The export synthetic PSF icon has changed since the documentation was written in 2011 from a round ball to the camera.

Hi,

Yes I did drop the PSF on the image and that was the issue.

If I click on  the camera it runs with no error message.

Thank you and everyone else on the help.
