I am glad to know you are having success with your scripting work on PixInsight. However, there is one important objection I must make. On your website I see that you have written the names of several persons, including my name, as well as the name of our company, Pleiades Astrophoto, on your script's main dialog. I have to ask you to please remove all of these names, since you are not authorized to promote or endorse your product using them. In the case of software products released under the
PixInsight Class Library License, please note that Section 3 of the license reads as follows:
3. Neither the names "PixInsight" and "Pleiades Astrophoto", nor the names of their contributors, may be used to endorse or promote products derived from this software without specific prior written permission. For written permission, please contact info@pixinsight.com.At any rate, writing the names of other authors on a derived product with promotional purposes without consent (be they intentional or not) is considered bad practice, at least among the software development community.
