Invalid or corrupted license data.

Just requested Trial Licence and started to test/learn on a Laptop at work [very little time!] .

Upon installing it at home on a better and faster computer to 'properly' play with it, I got INVALID AUTHORIZATION CODE (yes, I have read about it on these forums) - then tried again and the 3rd time I got: Invalid or corrupted license data.

I searched on these forums and the 'Invalid or corrupted license data.' is not listed.

In the meantime I have emailed Pixinsight about it, but doubt I will get a reply now - unless someone is there.

Pity - I had free Saturday afternoon to play with it on a MUCH better computer .... aaaaahhh

I cannot afford it right now and hope to buy it in a couple of months [or more].

Any idea? It could be that they also check IP connection, but if one has a dynamic connection, IP is bound to change from time to time!
Sometimes mine even change it to another Country!

I wonder if they are going to improve the licence heck with also a 'robot' re-creating licence so one can do it within seconds or minutes rather than days.
When you are time constricted like me, it make sense - one can only hope.

PS I have checked my security [which already allows Pixinsight to connect to their servers for licence verification] - I just hope this is not a recurrent thingy after I buy it, which would be pretty annoying when you do not have much time and need to get on with it.

Hi

According to the FAQ the trial license is only available for a single computer. You can request another trial license for another computer.

A trial license gives you the right to execute and use PixInsight during 45 days from the date of license approval. You can use a trial PixInsight license on any of the currently supported platforms: FreeBSD, Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. For security reasons, a trial license can only be used on a single machine. You are entitled to free email support and online updates during the trial period.

Feel free to contact us if you need additional trial licenses to run PixInsight on different computers and/or platforms. Similarly, if you need an extended trial period beyond 45 days, we'll be glad to hear you. Our licensing policy is flexible and we analyze different user requirements on a case-by-case basis.
