applying mask to tab of another image
« on: 2018 July 27 08:13:33 »
Hi there,
A process I am following says to apply a modified image ("luminosity mask") of the original to the TAB of a star mask made from the original. What might this do?

Make any sense?

well, a mask prevents (to varying degrees) certain pixels from being affected by the result of a process.

applying the mask does nothing in and of itself, but it affects the outcome of the next process applied to the masked image. so there must be another step after the creation of the starmask which is supposed to change the star mask?
