Image Integration process stops suddenly with this error message

I have done numerous successful stacking processes on NEF files since buying Pixinisght months ago and during my trial period before then. But twice today Pixinsight has suddenly stopped right at the final stage of the Image Integration process and presented the error message seen in the attached image.

Can anyone suggest what I need to do to resolve this problem?

Note: I see that the error message makes reference to the PCL Win32 System, but I thought my Windows 7 Pro is a 64-bit system... so I'm confused. Sorry but this stuff is considerably beyond my level computer OS understanding so I'm really floundering here.

My system is as follows:

CPU: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67 Mhz
OS: Windows 7 Professional
BIOS: American Magatrends Inc. 0608, 9/21/2010
RAM: 12 GB

Hi folks,

I discovered what the problem was. When I check my list of registered light frames (example, DSC_0038_c_r.xisf) most of the had 283,136 KB as their file size, but some of them had only 8 KB as their file size. When I included any of the apparently "empty" files PI stopped and gave the error message. When I removed the files from my list and ran only the "full" ones all went well.
