Row defects in Cosmetic Correction
« on: 2018 January 21 08:57:36 »
I’ve gone through and carefully selected my column defects in Cosmetic Correction and saved the txt file. Now I’m trying to address row defects. I click on a row and hit Add Defect. Despite the row numbers appearing in the defect list table they are not being saved to the txt file. If I manually type the row number in the Defect List txt file and then open it in Cos Corr it will appear. A little curious as to why row defects don’t get saved to the file.

After entering the new row in the CC window you have to click "Save" again .
On my Windows installation it works as expected. Could not repeat your case.
(Except i forgot to select Save again.)

I was quite meticulous in hitting the Save button. Just checked again, manually entered rows 1-4, hit Save, quit PI, opened the txt file to read it, and the new rows are not present. Could be an issue with my computer but I don’t think so. Txt behaves as it should outside of PI.

I tried a simple test like Gerald (on Windows also) and it worked exactly as expected.

Do you get the dialog that asks if it is OK to overwrite the file when you save the updated defect list?  Have you tried writing the updated list to a different (new) file?  Have you tried adding extra columns instead of rows to see if you get the same behaviour?

Cheers,
Rick.
