ICC Profile Transformation Process screws my image

When I apply the ICC Profile Transformation from Adobe RGB(1998) to SRGB, my image colors disappear. If I apply the STF I can see some details but it looks very different. I have been reading Color Management related posts but nobody seems to have this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciate, thanks.

Is the data still linear?

I often do this and never see anything apart from small colour shifts.

No mask is active and the data is not linear.

Can you upload a copy of the initial version in XISF format somewhere?  I'd be happy to take a look at it.

Hi Juan,

Thanks for sharing the image.  I downloaded it and it is actually linear (or at least not stretched very much.)  I applied the screen stretch to the image (copied from STF to HT) and once that is done ICCProfileTransformation works as expected.
