Cannot create a mask in latest version
« on: 2017 December 15 11:11:47 »
On my mac running Sierra, I just updated to the latest version of PI. I cannot create a mask. When I grab the identifier tab for he image I want to use as a mask and drop it on the gray bar of the image that I want to make, I just get a duplicate image. It is 100% repeatable and I have tried many different images. I know I am doing it correctly, I have been doing it for years and I can do it on my other systems (although they have not been upgraded)
Did I miss some kind of setting when installing the new version? Do I need to upgrade to High Sierra to make everything work properly? Any other hints?

i think i mentioned this on CN to you - it's a bug in Qt that juan had to work around. it does work - whether or not it does is a function of where you grab the tab of the source image and where on the target image tab you drop it. you have to experiment.

I did some more experimenting and was able to get it to work. It is very sensitive, unlike prior versions. I can reliably do it now.

yes, i think this bug held up the release of .5 for quite a while until juan figured out how to work around it. the workaround was not perfect, but with care it does work. i've gotten used to it...
