Master files or list of files

I can’t see any area dedicated to newbie questions so I’ll just post here. 
Is it better to use Master files or list of files for calibration? (Eks. Master dark or list of darks)
And what is the difference?

No difference. If you use a list in batch preprocessing it will generate a master dark, (which takes time) and then it will use the master dark.  If you then want to calibrate a different batch of images taken under the same conditions, use the master dark.
Personally i prefer to generate all my masters (bias, dark and flat) and then use these to calibrate my lights.
