Image Debayer and Integration produces empty images
« on: 2017 October 18 11:48:41 »
running 1.8.5.1353, updated integration module yesterday. Since then any debayered image appears to have had the signal removed. Integration throws an empty image error.

Hi,

This cannot be reproduced. The ImageIntegration module was last updated on October 2nd, and nothing similar to the issue you are describing has been reported AFAIK.

To understand what happens, we need a data set where this problem can be reproduced consistently. Can you please upload a data set where you are observing this problem?

The data set should be here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B9chzFsmNRuWSXU5dVJ6bzNCRFU?usp=sharing
Note; I did not use a bias file during calibration.

Thank you for getting back to me. I do appreciate it.

Tim

Hi Tim,

The only problem with these data is dark frame optimization. Disable it and everything works correctly (well, your flats are not correcting well near the bottom border of the image, and with just three dark frames you are introducing a lot of noise, but these are different topics).

The dark frame optimization algorithm cannot work correctly without bias subtraction. Since you don't have bias frames, you must disable it in BPP (also in ImageCalibration if you are preprocessing manually). Consider acquiring bias frames—they are cheap, you can take lots of them in almost no time.

Thank you Juan, sorry to have wasted your time on such a simple problem.
