DSLR Processing - When to Debeyer
« on: 2017 October 26 07:35:54 »
Hello,

When the BPP is used we can check the proper boxes to let it know the images are RGB and it automatically handles everything.

When data is being processed manually, at what stage of the workflow should that reality be dealt with? I couldn't find a setting in any of calibration forms where I imagined would be a good place in the workflow for it.

Thanks

Farzad

Debayer should be run just after you have calibrated the light frames.  Debayer is a distinct operation to ImageCalibration, that's why you can't find a setting for it on the ImageCalibration dialog.

All my calibrated DSLR collected data fail at Debayer, and that Debayer is unable to acquire CFA information...The interface is very simple and I don't see any selection that I might be making that could cause it to fail.

I spoke too fast - there is a selection that I should not have made, and that was the auto detection of the pattern. Once I set it to RGBG, it worked. Although I am puzzled why it could not figure it out automatically.
